APRENDER

CON PROPÓSITO

(DESARROLLANDO POTENCIAL)

SERVIR

CON PASIÓN

(CULTIVAR LA COMPASIÓN)
We treat people with kindness, honesty and integrity. Encouraging students to positively contribute to their communities builds empathy and compassion. We must increase student awareness of community needs and local or global issues. Service-learning partnerships are collaborative, mutually beneficial and help students address community needs.

✨ A Spark for Change! 🕊️Innovation is alive at AIS! Our Unit 3 Project Exhibition showcased the creativity and critical thinking of our students as they developed impactful campaign ideas and persuasive proposals to inspire positive change within the community. 💡Our 9th graders led the exciting “Guerra de Campañas,” a Project-Based Learning (PBL) experience guided by the Spanish Department. Students formed their own marketing agencies and collaborated with real-life brands such as Woopi, OKEY Sports, Paulycol, and Amaría Repostería, designing authentic advertising strategies. They also presented their Humanities exhibition, “Breaking the Frame,” where they explored the novel Persepolis through powerful artistic and musical interpretations. 🎨🎶Meanwhile, our 5th graders presented their PSA Campaigns, proposing meaningful solutions to support the communities they visited in Galapa, giving voice to real-world needs. 🏘️🩼Our Mini Scivants proudly represented AIS at the FIRST LEGO League in Bogotá, demonstrating their passion for STEM. 🤖 We also look forward to our Internal Robotics Tournament on May 20th, 2026 for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders, an exciting opportunity to test skills in building, coding, and problem-solving. 🤖🔩To top it off, the AirPods 4 raffle hosted by Fundación Grupo Altamira concluded with the announcement of its lucky winner. 🎉Together, these initiatives reflect our commitment to innovation, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences that empower students to make a difference.#SparkOfInnovation #AISCommunity #ProjectBasedLearning #FutureInnovators #LearningWithPurpose
